August 30, 2014 (El Cajon) – A truck hit and critically injured a woman driving a golf cart in the parking lot at Shadow Mountain Church in El Cajon Friday morning.
The truck driver suffered a medical episode, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, Heartland Fire and Rescue dispatchers have indicated.
The truck ran over the golf cart, then struck a tree. Paramedics performed CPR and transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died of her injuries. Her name has not been released, pending notification of family.
The truck driver was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
