WELLS FARGO ROBBED IN LA MESA VONS STORE

January 20, 2011 (La Mesa)– La Mesa Police responded to a robbery at 11:47 a.m. today at  Wells Fargo Bank  inside the Vons store at 8011 University Avenue.

 

The suspect is described as a black male adult in his early twenties, about 6’ 2”, medium build, wearing a black baseball cap, gold teeth, baggy white T-shirt, and blue or black baggy jeans. The vehicle was described as a dark color sedan.

 

The lone suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. No weapon was displayed and no one was harmed. The suspect stole an undetermined amount of cash and ran outside to a waiting vehicle. The suspect drove away towards University Avenue.
