June 6, 2024 (Jacumba Hot Springs) — Shiloh Ireland sent in this beautiful image of a cactus flower and bee, taken in Jacumba Hot Springs.
He writes, “The desert brings many little surprises in its harsh terrain and temperature extremes, but welcoming residents in this tiny community. Several varieties of cacti are blooming now and the pollinators are abundant.”
