MOTORCYCLIST INJURED ON HIGHWAY 67 DIES AFTER SURGERY

July 4, 2011 (Lakeside) – Brian Persson, 47, lost control of his motorcycle while driving around curve on northbound Highway 67, 1.5 miles of Slaughterhouse Canyon in Lakeside at 2:10 p.m. yesterday, the San Diego Medical Examiner reports. Witnesses called 911.

 

California Highway Patrol and medics responded and found the victim unresponsive and not breathing with extensive traumatic injuries.

 

He was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery, but died at 8:15 p.m. last night.

 

Cause of death was blunt force head and neck injuries, according to the Medical Examiner. Persson, who was married, was a resident of Encino.
