April 1, 2026 (Santa Ysabel) — The nonprofit Ilan-Lael Foundation will host an immersive art and nature experience on a 90-minute-long docent-led tour at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 9.
The event will take place in Santa Ysabel and focuses on the art and architecture of founder and artist James Hubbel, set against the beautiful natural scenery of the Santa Ysabel landscape.
Admission fees start at $45 per person, and a prior reservation is required.
Participants should be prepared for the activity level in and around 930 Orchard Lane. Organizers emphasize that everyone must wear closed-toe, sturdy footwear for the tour, which involves natural paths and steps.
Founded by James and Anne Hubbell in 1982, the Ilan-Lael Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the artistic legacy of James Hubbell. The Ilan-Lael Foundation’s mission is to inspire creativity, foster a deep connection with nature, and provide a sanctuary where art and nature harmoniously coexist.
Ilan-Lael is a Hebrew name meaning “a tree that belongs to God” or “a tree that unites the physical and the spiritual.” The name was chosen for its spiritual and natural significance rather than religious affiliation, reflecting a desire to connect art, nature and community.
Through educational programs, exhibitions and community initiatives, the Ilan-Lael Foundation seeks to ignite the creative spark in people and cultivate greater appreciation for art and its power to transform.
