April 8, 2013 (San Diego’s East County)– The CHP has shut down I-8 westbound at the Ocotillo grade to high-profile vehicles due to heavy winds. In addition, heavy fog is reported in Japatul Valley on I-8 east of Alpine. Use caution if you must drive in these areas.
