ELDERLY MAN HIT BY PICKUP TRUCK IN RAMONA DIES

February 13, 2011 (Ramona) – Manuel Alba, 85, has died of injuries sustained when he was struck and killed by a pickup truck pulling a wood chipper in Ramona. Alba, a widower who lived in Ramona, was crossing the intersection at Main Street and Seventh Street in Ramona when he was hit on February 11th at 7:47 a.m.

 

Numerous people called 911. Alba was transported to Palomar Hospital, where he died of his injuries the next morning on February 12, the San Diego Medical Examiner’s office reports.
 

California Highway Patrol in El Cajon is investigating the accident.
