August 2,2012 (El Cajon)—Two El Cajon Council members opted to go on vacation, and the Mayor indicated he was ill; forcing cancellation of the July 24 meeting due to lack of a quorum. The July 24 agenda has been continued until August 14.

“Council members would have a full month to go on "vacation," but two decided they couldn’t wait,” El Cajon resident Bob Clark said in an email to ECM, noting that an August 28 council meeting had also previously been announced as cancelled. “It seems to me irresponsible for two council members to decide to go on ‘vacation ‘at the same time.”
