BOXER FOILS CARJACKER IN LEMON GROVE

July 5, 2016 (Lemon Grove) — A carjacker wound up knocked to the ground by a boxer whose vehicle the assailant attempted to steal.
East County news partner 10 News reports the carjacker was a light-skinned African American man wearing a yellow and black plaid shirt. He reportedly approached the boxer, who was with family members, on Broadway in Lemon Grove this afternoon.

A struggle ensued and the assailant hurled a large sign at the boxer, who then knocked the would-be carjacker to the ground.  The man fled and has not yet been found.
