January 19, 2011 (La Mesa)– La Mesa Police responded at 9:09 a.m. to a robbery at Bank of the West, 8690 Grossmont Center Drive, La Mesa. The suspect handed a teller a demand note but did not display a weapon.  He stole an undetermined amount of cash and walked out of the bank towards the Target store.  The suspect is described as a black male adult in his thirties, about 5’10” 160 lbs., wearing a black baseball cap, black leather jacket, black shirt, and black pants.  He may have had a goatee and a witness may have seen him driving away in a black sedan.
