PAIR OF BANK ROBBERIES IN COLLEGE & GRANTVILLE AREAS

October 15, 2010 (San Diego) – Two bank robberies occurred today in the College East and Grantville areas, Officer David Stafford with the San Diego Police reports.

The first occurred at 8:15 a.m. at the Wells Fargo at 6670 Montezuma Road. The suspect, a white man in his 30s or 40s, displayed a hold-up note and fled on foot with the cash. He is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 170 pounds with a short, scruffy beard. He wore a blue hat, blue sweatshirt and jeans.
The other robbery occurred at 3:21 p.m. at Bank America, 6501 Mission Gorge Road in the Grantville community. The suspect, a middle-aged white man, unshaven, wore a dark ball cap (blue or gray) and a black shirt. He also displayed a note and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
