September 24, 2010 (Rancho Bernardo) – An 82-year-old driver crossed four lanes on Rancho Bernardo Road after leaving a shopping center shortly before noon yesterday, landing in a drainage ditch. According to San Diego Police, the woman appeared to have a medical issue.
She was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her name is being withheld pending notification of kin.
