February 15, 2019 (San Diego) – Kelsey Munoz (Chula Vista, Calif./Mater Dei Catholic HS) hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to give San Diego State a 7-5 win over Northern Illinois and Friday night sweep at the 29thannual Campbell/Cartier Classic at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Aztecs (5-2), who earlier beat Middle Tennessee, 2-1, also received a solo home run by Alicia Garcia (San Diego/Mira Mesa HS/Palomar College) and Kiera Wright was a home run short of the cycle.

In the opener, MJ James (San Diego/Patrick Henry HS/Ohio State) and Marissa Moreno combined to allow just one run in the circle on five hits in the 2-1 SDSU win .

San Diego State plays UC Santa Barbara (4:30 p.m.) and Grand Canyon (7 p.m.) on Saturday and will look to capture its fourth Campbell/Cartier Classic title and first since 2015.
