READER’S EDITORIAL: SUPERVISOR JACOBS’ HYPOCRISY

By Martha Sullivan, San Diego

January 9, 2019 (San Diego) — SD County Supervisor Dianne Jacobs voted No yesterday on providing emergency shelter to refugees seeking political asylum.  She said we should take care of our own homeless residents first.

What a HYPOCRITE — she has consistently refused to do anything meaningful to shelter and care for 9k homeless San Diego County residents, which led to the nation’s worst HepA epidemic in 20 years in 2017.  With a $2 billion reserve, The County can do BOTH. It’s about priorities.
