EL CAJON MAN ARRESTED FOR BRANDISHING GUN ON FREEWAY

March 9, 2015 (San Diego’s East County) – California Highway Patrol today arrested David Innis, a 47-year-old El Cajon resident after receiving a call reporting a motorist with a gun on Interstate 15 at Carroll Canyon Road.

The witness gave the license plate and descriptions of the vehicle and driver.  CHP officers stopped the vehicle and located a handgun inside the vehicle.

Innis faces charges of brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed loaded weapon in a vehicle, and carrying a loaded firearm in public, said Officer Jake Sanchez.  He has been booked into the County Jail.
