October 25, 2014 (Spring Valley) – Two news item coming up will impact Spring Valley residents.

Lamar Street will be closed to through traffic for a month due to a slope repair project, the County of San Diego has announced.  Residences will remain accessible during construction and questions may be sent to Brian Rochelle, resident engineer, at brian.rochelle@tylin.com.

On October 29, County Supervisors’ agenda will include a public hearing on a proposed General Plan amendment to correct a mobility element classification of Elkelton Place and add Quarry Road to the mobility element.   The proposed changes in classifications would enable the County to pursue funding for a potential future bridge project to improve safety of Quarry Road for pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers, according to the County.  The road segm4ents are north of Sweetwater Reservoir.
