AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATE GAS SMELL ALONG ENTIRE SAN DIEGO COUNTY COAST

August 26, 2011 (San Diego) 6:15 p.m. – Multiple agencies have received reports of a strong natural gas odor in coastal areas all the way from Imperial Beach in the South Bay to San Diego’s North County, Incident Page Network reports.  An investigation is underway to find the source.

 

10 News confirms that dispatchers have received numerous calls, with the majority coming from La Jolla, University City, Clairemont, Tecolote Canyon and University Heights.

 

A similar odor was reported widely last week, but authorities were unable to determine the cause.
