FOOD, MUSIC AND TRAINS: FATHER’S DAY GALA JUNE 19TH

June 16, 2011 (Campo) — The public is invited to the annual Fathers’ Day gala at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum living-history & train-operation center, Campo, on Sunday June 19th from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

 

The event will feature a complete barbeque lunch prepared onsite from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m., live folk music, and vintage train rides at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 

 

Reserved-seat tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for kids 6-12, and $5 under 6, and include a train ride on either the 11 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. train. Plan to arrive at Campo depot — State highway 94 at Forrest Gate Rd., Campo — at least 30 minutes prior to train time. 2:30 train passengers should allow at least 1 1/2 hours for lunch prior to boarding.

 

Opportunities will be available to run a diesel locomotive under the "Engineer-for-an-Hour" program all day, on a first-come, first served basis, 1/2-hour min. (reservations required). 

 

Reservations at psrm.org. Walk-up tickets will be sold on a "space-avaiable" basis. Free parking, gift store, modern restrooms, child’s play area.
