SHERIFF SEEKS HELP TO ID MASKED ARMED ROBBERS IN LEMON GROVE

By Miriam Raftery February 27, 2017 (Lemon Grove) – The Sheriff’s Department seeks public help to identify three masked suspects armed with a shotgun, bat and hammer. The three suspects robbed Santana’s Restaurant at 7633 Palm St. in Lemon Grove at 2:30 a.m. this morning. At least two of the men are suspected in two similar robberies of taco shops in Spring Valley and Lemon Grove over the past two weeks. After forcing the employee at Santana’s to open the cash registers, the suspects took cash and fled on foot toward Cypress Street. In all three cases, similar weapons were used. GLASS FOUND IN APPLESAUCE: TRADER JOE’S ISSUES RECALLS

East County News Service February 27, 2017 (San Diego) — After receiving customer reports of glass pieces found in Trader Joe’s unsweetened applesauce jars, the supermarket chain has issued a voluntary recall on three varieties of its applesauce. The recalled products are Trader Joe’s “First Crush Unsweetened Gravenstein Apple Sauce,” “Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce” and “All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce.” The first two sauces were sold nationwide, and the last was sold in California and 12 other states. Anyone who purchased these products is urged to bring them back to the stores and receive refunds. The products have been removed from store shelves.
