On Saturday, October 30 from 6 p.m. to midnight, table game players will have a chance to win prizes and cash.   “We’re excited to bring our Party Pit back with a fun Halloween twist,” said Mike Patterson, vice president of table games. “We encourage our guests to come in costume and take full advantage of the many ways to take home cash and prizes while playing in the Party Pit.”   During the party, Barona will be giving away promo chips, free bets, t-shirts and lucky charms to table game players. Giveaway highlights include:   • Select tables will get the chance to spin the prize wheel to win promo chips; • Throughout the night, select tables will receive extra lucky charms; • Players win a $5 free bet each time the dealer deals them the cut card; and, • Players with a suited jack and ace blackjack get to pick a Magic Button, if the button goes off they get a $25 promo chip.   Players can double their cash winnings by following Barona on Twitter (@BaronaCasino) to learn the hourly Party Pit password. If players know the password when they pick the “Magic Button” for example, they get to double their winnings to $50. Printer-friendly version Kamps Propane makes challenge donation to raise funds for veterans’ Wall of Honor October 26, 2010 (El Cajon) – Alpine Kiwanis joins Blackhawk Helicopters at tomorrow’s El Cajon Car Show and “Trunk or Treat” Halloween event tomorrow tonight, October 27, at Main and Magnolia in downtown El Cajon from 5-8 p.m.   Visitors can have photos taken with a Vietnam helicopter and meet Sam the Pirate (celebrity impersonator of “Captain Jack” Sam Sparrow). Alpine Kiwanis seeks donations for a Veterans Wall of Honor in Alpine and will also accept naming proposals. Kamps Propane in Alpine has pledged to match up to $250 in donations. Vintage cars will be decked out with Halloween decorations. There will also be treats for trick-or-treating youngsters—costumes are encouraged! Cajon Classic Cruise is the largest weekly classic car show in Southern California, with an average yearly attendance of 92,515 from 2004-2009. Vendor spaces are available for $150 for four consecutive weeks, or $50 for one night. WELLS FARGO ROBBED IN EL CAJON BY TATTOOED THIEF; ROBBER MAY HAVE FLED IN RED SPORTS CAR

Printer-friendly version  October 26, 2010 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police seek the public’s help to locate a man who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 1235 Avocado in El Cajon at 2:35 p.m. today.   The suspect is described as a white man around 50 years old with multiple tattoos, including tattos on his neck and right ear. He has a thin build and medium height. He wore a black and white hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. He may have fled in a red Nissan sports car with a pit bull dog inside, last seen heading eastbound on Chase Avenue, according to Lt. Tim Henton with El Cajon Police. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the El Cajon Police Department at 619-579-3311. If you ahve information which leads to an arrest in this case, you could receive up to a $1,000 reward and remain anonymous.
