ARMORED VEHICLE RUNS OVER BICYCLIST IN LA MESA

March 26, 2015 (La Mesa) -A bicyclist is in critical condition after being involved in a collision with an armored currency transport vehicle in La Mesa.

La Mesa Police responded shortly before noon to the accident in the intersection of University Avenue and Allison Avenue.  The bicyclist was immediately transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition, said Lt. Matt Nicholsson.

La Mesa Police collision investigators were at the scene until late this afternoon and streets were temporarily closed down, but have since reopened.
